2011 San Antonio City Council Candidates


Awake America Ministries survey distributed to the candidates running for City Council as well as Mayoral Candidates. These same candidates are included in a recent Stonewall (Homosexual) Democrats Survey.

Questions from Awake America Survey
1 Any laws that support Traditional {One Man/One Woman Marriage} /Pro-Life /Values?
2 Any laws that support Homosexual rights & marriages/Abortion rights?
3 Any laws that restrict Gun Control?
4 Any laws promoting Promiscuity in public or Public schools (like sex education/condoms), like in Project Worth?
5 To refuse any more extensions to the Alamo Regional Mobility Authority (Toll Roads loan), the $500, 000, owed to City Council so they won’t raise our taxes to pay what “Alamo” should have begun to pay 6 years ago.
6 Any laws that would inhibit our Religious Freedoms/in Public Schools or the Public?
7 Lowering the outrageous garbage rate by at least 1/3 and still picking up twice a week.
8 Create a Bond initiative that would increase jail capacity and employees to prevent prisoners being turned out too early and not fulfilling their sentences.
9 End City Funding for Illegal Aliens through Community Initiatives, etc for Rent, Utilities, Food Vouchers or General living expenses without requiring them to be a U.S. Citizen.
10 Decrease Property taxes by about 10% to offset the Property values that have gone up about 42% lately
11 End Proxy Voting for Elected officials by City Clerk as Elected Officials do not hear from the community on issues and the vote is decided ahead of time.
12 Will you take voting measures to stop the City Manager from illegally making up laws instead of just carrying out the laws the City Council/Mayor voted on?
13 Will you take measures to rescind(take back) the law that the City Manager made up concerning hiring Homosexuals as City Employees as that was not her authority to do that?
14 Attempt to find and support a plan to end our Road Construction Chaos.

Support for Legislative Initiatives to Lobby for School Vouchers for students who attend “Failure Schools” to opt into the school of their choice and have Equal Opportunity for an Education.
